Towards enhanced EU-US innovation collaboration through policy measures

The BILAT-USA 2.0 project is pleased to organize the event “Towards enhanced EU-US innovation collaboration through policy measures - Pre-conference policy workshop” to be held on January 14th, 2015 morning in Brussels.

The goal of the policy workshop will be:

  • to provide feedback from businesses and business support structures to policy makers and notably to highlight barriers, challenges and good practices experienced by businesses involved in transatlantic collaboration,
  • to exchange on recommendations on policy measures in order to overcome barriers and enhance EU-U.S. RTDI business collaboration.

Feedback from businesses and business support structures to policy-makers gathered at a previous workshop on “Accelerating EU-US business collaboration in health/e-health Research & Innovation: Opportunities, Barriers and Best Practices” held on 20th June 2014 in Boston, USA, have been summarized in a policy brief, that will be made available well ahead of the workshop to all registered participants and discussed during the workshop.

This workshop is organized prior to the EU-U.S. Innovation Conference “How to integrate the innovation dimension in the EU-U.S. S&T Agreement” taking place on January 14th (afternoon) and January 15th, 2015 at the same venue. The conference aims at identifying among European and U.S. experts those innovation aspects which need to be considered during the current renewal process of the EU-U.S. S&T Agreement.

The event is free of charge for participants, but registration is mandatory.

As the number of seats is limited, registrations will be respected on a “first-come-first-served” basis.
