EuroMOTOR is a European collaborative project (FP7) dedicated to discover new causative and disease modifying pathways to pave the way for novel therapies for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

This fact sheet provides an excellent overview about the different forms of Intellectual Property (IP) that can be relevant in biotechnology and focuses more specifically on patents. Moreover, the role of biotechnology in innovation in Europe and how to use patent information for innovation indicators is described.
