The EIC Pilot business coaching for FET Open SMEs takes off!

The SMEs have already received feedback on the several areas where their projects can be strengthened. These areas were mainly in technology patenting, the definition of a more structured market approach strategy and the design of a new organization model to improve Innovation Management Capacity.

There is a variety of business areas that future business coaching sessions may focus on, ranging from business development, organisation and efficiency, technology assessment and commercialisation, cooperation and partnership.

The business coaching is given by coaches selected by the SME and the key account managers of the Enterprise Europe Network located in the respective regions of the SMEs.

The coaching consistently follows the "sense and solve" philosophy and clarifies strategy, prioritises actions, challenges assumptions, helps identify barriers and risks and gives confidence and better understanding. This empowers the SME towards the exploitation of FET project results. The Future & Emerging Technologies (FET)-Open programme is the EIC pilot’s exploratory engine for future disruptive technologies. It supports the early-stages of the science and technology research and innovation around new ideas towards radically new future technologies.
