On 13 June 2013, Fit for Health organised a strategic conference on how SMEs in Healthcare sector could take a sustainable benefit from their participation in Horizon 2020, showing opportunities on the long term strategy for them to get prepared in time for this new framework programme. The novel structure of Horizon 2020 was presented by the EC and the new orientations were discussed with participant SMEs representatives. There is a wide range of participation possibilities in the Health sector covering a heterogeneous field and SMEs need to be prepared for their participation right from the beginning.
