Open consultation on proposals for a common strategic framework

The College of Commissioners has adopted a Green Paper that launches an open consultation on proposals for a "Common Strategic Framework" to improve EU research and innovation funding programmes: to make participation easier, increase scientific and economic impact, and maximise value for money.
The proposed Common Strategic Framework will cover the Framework Programme for Research, the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). This will create a coherent set of instruments along the whole innovation chain starting from basic research.
The consultation will conclude with a major event in Brussels on 10 June.
